PRESSURE TREATED LUMBER
Pressure-treated wood has gone through a process that uses high pressure to force a solution of water and preservative agents deep into the lumber to help extend its useful lifespan. This preservation process enables pressure-treated fence posts, for example, to withstand years of being embedded in soil. This makes it a great choice for fence construction that provides years of longevity.
CEDAR
Cedar has a long history of use in decking and housing. It’s a durable wood that is naturally resistant to rot, decay and insect attacks, and resists moisture absorption, so it tends to last longer, needs less maintenance, and doesn’t warp or split as easily. This is another great choice for fence construction. The downside is the cost of cedar typically is much higher than pressure treated or other equivalents. This items availability is also much more scarce. This product might not be available throughout certain times of the year.
